Terms and conditions

1. The promoter

This promotion is run by EverLabs Software Ltd (registered in England and Wales), Tenterden, Kent, TN30 6QX, United Kingdom ("we", "us"). Contact: press@playlanternfall.com. Valve, Steam and Amazon are not sponsors of, and are not associated with, this promotion.

2. When it runs

The promotion opens at 18:30 UK time on 24 September 2026. It closes at the earlier of: (a) the moment the first qualifying completion is recorded (see section 5), or (b) 23:59 UK time on 26 October 2026.

3. Who can enter

• Entry is free. No purchase is necessary.
• Open worldwide to individuals aged 18 or over. Players under 18 may enter only with the consent of a parent or guardian, and any prize will be issued to that parent or guardian.
• We may ask the winner for proof of age and identity before sending the prize.
• Not open to the promoter's directors, staff or contractors, their immediate families, or anyone who received a pre-release build of the game for testing.
• Void where prohibited or restricted by law. Entrants are responsible for complying with the rules of their own country.

4. How to enter

1. Play the free Lanternfall demo on Steam (app 5090650), using the version published at the start of the promotion or any later update.
2. Complete all four demo realms in a single ranked campaign — including Lanternwood Forest's final wave and the Beckoner's passage.
3. Submit the run to the online Top 100 under a leaderboard name. Unranked practice runs, replays and runs from other builds cannot qualify.

5. How the winner is decided

The winner is the entrant whose run is the first to be recorded on our leaderboard server, after passing our deterministic replay verification, as a completion of the demo's final level. The server's record and its time stamp are final. There is one prize in total. The game's end screen shows whether the prize is still available, but only the server's verification decides the winner.

6. Claiming the prize

When you complete the demo while the prize is available, the game shows a private claim code. Email press@playlanternfall.com with your leaderboard name and that claim code within 14 days of the promotion closing. If the first qualifying entrant does not claim in time, cannot be verified or is ineligible, we may offer the prize to the next qualifying completion recorded before the closing time.

7. The prize

• A £50 Amazon.co.uk gift card, or for winners outside the UK a gift card of equivalent value for their local Amazon store. Where no suitable Amazon store exists, we will offer a Steam gift card or another widely available gift card of equal value.
• One Steam key for the full game Lanternfall, emailed within 48 hours of its release on Steam (planned for 28 October 2026). If the release date changes, the key will be sent within 48 hours of the actual release.
• Prizes are sent by email, are non-transferable, and have no cash alternative. Amazon gift cards are subject to Amazon's own terms.

8. Fair play

Runs that use cheats, modified game files, exploits, automation or anyone else's account are disqualified. Our verification and our decision on eligibility are final.

9. Announcing the winner

We will publish the winner's leaderboard name and country on this website and on Steam, and will provide the same information on request. You may ask us to show your leaderboard name only.

10. Your data

We use your email address, leaderboard name and claim code only to verify your entry and deliver your prize, in line with UK data-protection law. We delete prize-claim emails within 90 days of the prize being delivered.

11. General

We may amend, suspend or cancel this promotion if circumstances outside our reasonable control require it, and will publish any change here. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
